Pasta Ashley

Pasta Ashley
serves 6


1lb crawfish tails, peeled shrimp or shredded chicken breast (I used chicken breast)
1 pint of half and half
1/2 onion, minced
4 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 stick of butter (I used 2 T instead)
4 green onions, chopped
2 tsp of New Orleans Gourmet Foods BBQ Shrimp Mix (or some other Cajun BBQ seasoning)
1 lb cooked short cut pasta
Parmesan cheese (opt.)


Melt the butter in a large pot and saute onions and garlic for 3 minutes.  Add the meat and saute for approximately 5 minutes or until the meat is translucent.  Add the half and half and stir.  Then add the BBQ Shrimp Mix 1 tsp. at a time, taste and add more if desired. (I desired.  I added the full 2 tsp.)  Cook for 5-10 minutes or until sauce has thickened.  Add the pasta and toss well.  Add the cheese and stir.  Let it sit for 10 minutes over very low heat, stirring often.  Garnish with green onions.
